  • I'm black and I don't necessarily care for essays like these. The problem with books like these is that people are reading this one set of essays of just one set of people who at times all have nearly the same mindset of things, and then are led to believe that it represents all of Black America!

  • Well, wait a minute! Didn't we go to Iraq initially because of Saddam Hussein? That was not a bad reason to go. People were suffering - plus, if I remember right, he was either linked with the 9/11 terrorists OR he supposedly had some stuff that he was supposed to give up and wouldn't.

  • Well, I'm confused now. I thought the Iraqis appreciated us being there because we helped them fight against Hussein and the insurgents. Now, they're celebrating our leaving because we've "harmed and insulted [them] too much"? (said al-Maliki, I think) What???

  • What a sweet story, but a sad ending. Why split them up if the tiger teens and Isabella were still happy together? Sounds like it was more like an issue of convienence more than anything.

  • It certainly looks bad on him, but he did close off the affair and seems contrite about the whole thing, so I say leave it up to him.

  • My parents used credit cards when they were young; they're STILL trying to pay them off 24 yrs later! I don't want that to happen to me.
